Last time I was in a movie theatre, was to see Saving Private Ryan ...... whenever that movie was released. I'd heard the sound effects were very realistic.

Well I signed up for Gamefly to give it a try. Only interested in 4K content, not so much for the video but for the Audio. Most have DTS which is usually pretty awesome. I can handle a not so great movie if it brings my speakers to life. Just watched The Finest Hours on 4K dvd and while the movie was great the audio was fantastic! I highly recommend that movie. Also watch Fire Birds yesterday. Seen it several times. Audio was only 2.0 but it such a great movie I didn't mind to much. I normally dont watch any movie unless it 5.1. Our locals here are only 2.0 so I changed my locals to Dallas. I cant believe in this time they do not broadcast surround sound!

I just finished The Waterfront on Netflix. Really liked it. Looking forward to a season 2. Also have been watching Resident Alien , silly but entertaining.

Ad supported, free streaming service Pluto , is having what they're calling Grill Week. They have a channel called Tastemade Smokehouse , nothing but outdoor cooking, grilling, and barbecue

Pluto

Well, Tubi has the BBQ Pitmasters, seasons 2 through 7 .

BTW, Mrs Okie and I are binging on the BBQ Pitmasters, we're in Season 3 filmed in 2012. And its kind of amazing, that I still see on YT today the techniques, seasonings, etc .... that they were using then.

Even the smokers are still basically the same except for maybe drums. I don't compete, but I think drum smokers are the thing now.

Watching an interesting episode of Hardcore Carnivore on Pluto. Jess is at West Texas A&M, going through their meat science college.
