I hope you will post a picture of what you got, I'm dieing to know what it is. Or just to see it, I've never seen or heard of a brisket that big.

I talked to the butcher again. He said it's the brisket AND the short plate. Now what would you do to that cut? Thanks for the ideas and the laughs guys! Fred Flintstone. LOL!

Lose the short plate and your back in brisket business!!

Remove the brisket and smoke it, and then cut the short plate into stew meat. Sounds like it would be great for braising in a stew or veggie soup. However you cook it I bet unless you put some hours into it it's going to be tough. Check this out might help.
