Wet Wood
My small wood pile isn't covered. We've had near an inch of slow rainfall over the past couple of days. How do you cope with wet wood when you need to smoke?

Gas Grass Burner Seals
I bought a HF burner some months back but have only recently used it a couple of times. The rubber seal that fits on the connector valve fell off and was lost.

Does anyone know what specs apply and where to get replacements? What are the called?

TIA

Start a good fire, then place the wet wood on top of, or inside of the fire box to dry a bit. I assume it's seasoned and just wet.

As for the seal, post a pic of the connector. Probably an o-ring if it's at the tank connection.

Thanks Cranky B!

I gave up on drying the wood and waited until today to light a fire. The splits were still wet but a good briquette bed allowed me to get a fire going. I followed your advice about heating the wood to dry it, and finally got it up to temp.

Here's the seal I was asking about. It is on the torch hose end that goes into the gas tank.

This the one I'd like to know specs and name for. The torch is the Greenwood propane torch with push button igniter from HF.

Thanks again!!

Doubt if you can find this ring/gasket at HF, but may want to check Fastenal (2711 Airport Rd, Temple, TX 76504, in your case), as I've had good luck with them in the past for oddball items like this.  Or any propane supplier in the area as well--take the burner with you to check fitment.  Good luck

Take it to a welding supply store. They might have a replacement for a gas welder that will work.

Let's keep our Heels in front next weekend.
