That is a good idea about the parks deparent. I thought maybe it was maintenance guys cleaning up, but the trash cans hadn't been emptied and the leaves hadn't been raked. Maybe I'll try to figure out who to call just in case.

Brian that's a really kind offer and if I had the room I'd take you up on it. Really it's just a matter of the PITA factor at this point. Our apartment is tiny and we have no extra storage, so the smoker was always either in the trunk of one of the cars or taking up most of a closet. I'm not gonna say I'm glad its gone, but I think I'll wait to replace it until we're in a bigger place.
