I got my second air tank to use as a firebox yesterday. The "problem" is that I think it's cast iron, where the other tank is cast steel. The main cook tank rings like a gong when I hit it with a hammer, the new tank is just a dull thud.
So the question. Will there be any issues welding the two together? I won't be doing the actual welding I have someone with a good bit of experience doing it for me. My concern is more the heat/cool cycle and if I'll need to worry about the welds breaking or anything else I may not be aware of?
