Weed Dragon Torch for mil scale

Could one of those big weed dragon torches hooked to a 20 gal. propane tank be used to remove oil/mil scale from inside of cook chamber on new smoker, 1/4 in. steel w/o warping anything..

I would think heat would be easier to control then a raging fire..

Yep, it'll work fine, but you'll still need to season with a good fire after.
