Normally I wouldn't post this but the boy said "round grill" for dinner. Well huh I haven't used the Weber for a steak (tri tip) in a while. So here goes. Tractor supply lump with a few hickory chunks on the grate, yeah thought about it too late. So here goes. Plus first time with the Only Fire grate. Game on.

I'm trying to get a temp on the Weber for later cooks. Think I had the vents closed a bit to much to begin. It's taking a while lol.

Looks darn good! Do you minnesotans mix your corn and mashed taters together and smother with gravy like us iowegians?

Hmm kinda a tough question for me. Born and bred in MN as back as I can recall on my father's side. Mom's side is chicago proper (never heard a four letter word from G and G) or mom until I was about 25. That being said momma is from upstate new York. Mixing potatoes with corn seems universal, that being said GRAVY with them is a bit of a conversation. Seems ok in the Midwest but questionable out east. Personally it depends on the quality of ingredients. If my mother made it, mix anything you can with it cuz it gonna taste like crap. If momma(the wife) made it, eat it, it's gonna be good.
