Weber Performer

I've been eye balling the Weber Performer for some time now. The msrp ($329) has held me back til now. I was doing some reading and saw folks saying they were seeing this grill at Lowes for $198. Being the procrastinator and am I kept waiting and waiting figuring I might consider one. Well the other day I got a $10 discount card in the mail.

So last night I figured if they take the card and if I can get it for $188 I had better do it. I gave Lowes a call and the sales guy told me all they had left was the display model. He asked if I wanted him to put my name on it and of course I said yes.

I went this morning to pick it up and they did take the $10 coupon plus the discounted price.

Got it home and set in place.




I hope to put it to use tomorrow.

Is that Charcoal or Gas?

It's a charcoal grill with gas assist.

Yes it is. I don't know if I'll store charcoal in it but that's what is for.

You will love that grill.
I have gone through 3 22.5's in the last 25 years and love them. Just cooked them out :)
But my favorite is my 26.75".
It is not the new style, I have the original version (pic in my sig).
My mother bought my father this grill for his birthday 2 years before I was born, I'm 41!!!
The grill is worn but the heavy gauge metal is unbeatable!!
I have replaced both grates and leg/wheel assembly twice in 20 years but the kettle is still the same.

Not kidding, I found out when I purchased a new electric garage door openner and insulated door. My daughter was working there and told me, hey you where USMC take a copy of your dd214 and they will discount it.

And they did, and they have for other larger purchases.
