Hey everyone, looking at ways to increase how much I can cook at a time on my Weber Kettle. Before a bunch of you say "just got get a WSM/UDS etc etc!" i'm already thinking about it, but I don't really want to have two grills/smokers (I am stationed in europe so space is at a premium, and I dunno where I will live next). The best solution appears to be the various rings I've been able to find in old forum posts here and there that basically lift the lid of the kettle up a foot or two and provide room for racks or hooks underneath the lid for taller items (big turkeys) or lots of smaller items (ribs, sausage).

The problem is, they all seem to have gone out of business! BBQ Stacker and Smoke EZ websites both indicate they are sold out or discontinued. Cajun Bandit has been mentioned on a few forums, but they only seem to have replacement parts for sale.

Amazon has a bunch of SIMILAR items, but they are all for rotisserie or pizza baking and have a lot of gaps/holes i don't want to have to deal with for temp control.

Does anyone know of a company that is currently selling 22.5" rings for expanding the grate space on a kettle grill?

Thanks for any insights!

I found this at Onlyfire. Yeah I've got some really cools stuff from Cajun Bandit but now that I found this site my palms are starting to sweat and I'm getting an itchy trigger finger on the order button. LOL Looks like they have some really cool accessories for the kettle and beyond. Hope this helps you because me finding it will probably cost me money 😆

Have you checked the cajun bandit website? I'm pretty sure they use to have one.

This is what I’m leaning towards if I can’t find anything else, but it’s not really what I’m looking for. The door on it is a minus for me, just more opportunity for air leaks. And I’m looking for something you can put grill grates in

Have you looked at just putting on a second rack without any expansion ring? I've got a couple that I use once in a while. I also have a rib rack and only fire rotisserie.

I thought about it, but my concern is that whatever I put on the top rack will cook way faster than what’s on the grill grate as it will be very close to the lid. I mainly want this for ribs

I have a 26" with the cajun Bandit rotisserie. It's not that bad with air leaks. I've cooked a large turkey with that setup. If you're concerned about leaks then cover them with foil.

Rib racks work great for getting a couple racks on sideways. If I'm using my 2nd rack, it it usually for things that are done or just want away from the fire a bit.

Does it have a way to put grill grates in it? I can’t tell from the pictures on the site. I’d ideally like to put two grill grates in it so that I’ve got three grates for food

I have the Onlyfire spinner / pizza oven combo .
Not as tall , but does have an upper grate location .
I just have the upper rack in here , but you can have 2 and also access the lower one from the door .

Door fits pretty tight .

This is a charcoal grate from an Old Smokey smoker .
Fits under the main grate in a 22 . I use it as a deflector .

If you buy the taller one and it doesn't have upper locations , just get some stainless nuts and bolts and drill some holes . Make a jig out of wood with the hole locations . That way they are all the same . Just aling it with the top of the ring .

I have the one from Onlyfire and I have used it to make snack sticks. It works pretty good. I had a problem with <50°F maintaining temp, but I converted my kettle to run using an electric hot plate and the mail box mod. If you wanted to cook a tall turkey this would work well. If you look down the tube you can see pegs that could be used to support the grill grate, but I have yet to do that application.
