So with my drum i have a 22.5 inch webber lid and it sits on the lip of the drum all the way around but then theres about a half inch gap on one side anyone have some tips on how to mod the lid so that it will fit better?
I have seen where someone found an old webber kettle and cut the top of the body off about 1 1/2" down and just slipped that on the top of the drum then the lid fits perfectly.if you have an old webber kettle around I would start there. Otherwise someone should be around soon to opine....
If i was making one i would cut the lid off of a drum off similar to a lid off of a soup can and put a handle on it. It would fit perfectly and have a great seal.
We ended up just bending the lip out of the lid all the way around and sat it on the drum then hammered it back to fit nice and snug. Gonna do the drilling for the racks tonight.
