We needed some BBQ. Had to have it!!! And what a nice day here, 70° and sunny. Got it all rubbed up Thursday night

Almost 9lbs of porky goodness

All set to go on.

My rig might not be pretty, but she puts out some tasty stuff!

Thanks for looking

Scott

Damn that's a great price on the pork! I just got back from the store and spent $2.59/lb!

Update;

Just pulled the shoulder from the smoker

I let it get to 165°in the smoker, then foil and bring it to 208°in a slow oven. Rest it for an hour in a cooler, then pull....

Trouble is... we want it now...

It's been $1.49 a pound here for a long time. Cheapest chunk of deliciousness I know of. I love Brisket, but a nice size one just isn't in the budget.
I hear ya on the Brisket I just found a Wegmans 25 miles away and picked up 2 Butts last Sat. same price.I is frozen the other is 3 different sausages now.LOL

Watching for the money shot it looks good so far Scott

My local grocery store is 2.59/lb but Sams and Costco are usually around 1.79/lb. Not too bad but I would love to see it as cheap as you two have it.

I do find whole turkey fryers for .99/lb on occasion.

I'd eat that
