That it was. I learned a lot about my Dad and Uncles childhood growing up in the 50's and 60's....I hope it was a bitter sweet day of sharing memories

I know I don't speak for everyone here but I think I have an idea. Anyone here will understand if you missed a comment. You have more important things to worry about, like his memory. And thanks again for all the comments and support. I know I have probably missed some people.
Thinking back on Uncle Noon. I miss him.
The best way we can honor someone is to never forget themReread this thread tonight. Thinking back on Uncle Noon. I miss him. A heart felt thank you to you guys for caring enough to post...means a lot to me.
Sorry for your loss. Now it's up to you to be sure to pass on what he taught you about wine as well as stories of times you shared with him. In doing so, he lives on through you and others. My Uncle passed away this afternoon. He is the one I have been making wine with. A lot of you may not know him. He is also the one that introduced me to SMF. He did not post much, but spent time here learning about smoking through the archives. Here is his post on the get to know you thread:

He had been in a lot of pain the last year with multiple health issues. It all finally caught up with him. He died peacefully with his immediate family near-by. I'm glad I was able to spend so much time with him the last year or so. We had a lot of laughs, made some wine, whined about some spilled wine, and enjoyed a good many bottles together cooking and fiddling with projects only an old man could dream up. R.I.P. Unlce Noon, you will be missed....
