very old smoker

I am on vacation in the Wisconsin north woods and stopped by lake tomahawk meats for some of their famous beef jerky.

I asked if I could see their smoker pit and they not only showed me the pits but also the wood they use and the inside of the pits!

One pit was 94 years old and the other was over 60.

I wish they would have allowed me to take some photos.

Amazing seeing those old pits.

It is delicious... I also got some land Jaeger and breakfast sausages.

Some of those old pits have been around for 50 years or more, never cleaned, just loaded up with meat every day & they sure put out some fantastic Q!
