SWMBO bought me a gizmo that pulls a vacuum in a mason jar and seals the canning lid. No ring required. I like it so far, seems to be working well. The cilantro pictured here was sealed on 12/11/24 and has been opened and resealed a few times lost its scent but still tastes fine, starting to get a bit limp. The thyme has lasted well and the garlic jar was full when sealed.

I left half the bundle of cilantro in the crisper and it lasted about a week.

I've got a very similar product and love it. Great for dried fruit.
