Cherry is one of my favorites as well, it smells great when burning and gives the meat a great taste and wonderful color.
A good portion of my smokes I like to use oak and cherry.
I use it often also. When my planned smoke is going to be anything but cherry, I always toss a split of cherry into the firebox in memory of Scott in KC.
My brother has wild cherry on his property. I am the happy beneficiary of those times he removes branches, or as he did a couple years ago take down a whole tree.... like the others here, I find it to be a fave.
