I have a gen 1 Loco 36 inch griddle and the surface temps vary wildly so I am looking to replace it. I am leaning toward the Traeger Flatrock or the Halo 4b. I am having a plumber check to see if its viable running NG to my griddle location, so that answer may sway me further to the Halo. I have read some people say the Halo 4B gets too hot but others say its fantastic. Hard to find anyone complaining about the Traeger though. Any suggestions? Thanks

Blackstone? I like it much better than the Camp Chef I also have. I would not worry about too hot, it can always get turned down. I also hear good things about the Weber Griddle but have yet to see it in person.

I have a Halo 4b running on natural gas and really like it. Temperature control isn't hard but does require a bit of attention and willingness to turn off a burner and cook while it cools. The thick griddle holds heat well so you can cook for quite a while with most of all the burners off.

I would advise new owners to use a laser thermometer to monitor the temperatures while learning the griddle, but I almost always forget to take thermometer outside to the griddle now and rarely bother to go back in the house to get it.
