I got the stack and inlet finished over the weekend. Still need to put the warmer box and finish up the stand. Starting to come together. I also noticed that my RF plate is not level so I'll need to fix that.
Roushy, morning..... I like the removable end on the smoke chamber idea.... easy to clean... Yeah, the tilted RF plate will drive you nuts if you don't tweak it now... I'm anal about stuff like that myself... unless I'm looking to leave something for "certain" folks to find... You probably know a few "nit pickers" yourself.... Anyway, she going to be a beauty and make you some mighty fine Q....
Thanks. I plan to weld up the end once the plate and everything internal is complete. Looking to fire it up in 2 weeks to season it pending I get the 2nd chamber in. More pics to come!
Do you have the clamp ring that is normally on the lids.?? If not, you can find one somewhere.... and the lid too....... If it doesn't seal perfectly, fill the groove with high temp silicone, cover the end on the drum with saran and clamp in place.... the silicone won't stick to the saran.... or get stove gasket material and silicone in place and clamp with saran covering the drum....
I would give that a try before welding it in place.... but that is me.... If I can find something weird to do, I'll try it first.... Dave
