I just need to blow off some steam or smoke, lol, about this grill.  I purpose his grill on 20 Nov (first mistake was ordering it on online).  Anyway the first time I actually got to use it was for a family gathering with you know it everyone curious about smoking a turkey on a grill.  Things started out pretty well and of course I was bragging on how the charcoal grill and gas grill was becoming a thing in the past  for BBQing and smoking.  Well a few hours into the cook all of sudden the grill  the grill really starts smoking big time.  When we opened the grill we notice that the grill as actually on fire and had burnt out the wiring  for temp gauge and stuff.  After that the grill went in error 1 mode, and couldn't; use it again.  Took a bad ribbing from the thanksgiving guest the rest of the day lol.  Well they sent me completely new wiring and stuff. so got that done.  Today I decide to try smoking a chicken cut in half.  I  in the mid time purposed a probe which monitors the temp inside the grill.  I noticed the first time the glass gauge. and the temp gauge on the panel was about 20 to 30 degrees difference.  That was a bit much I thought for the price that I paid for the grill.  So I purchased an indepent grill probe and hooked it up.  So I got 3 different temperatures.  Not one even close to the other.  To top things off all of sudden the grill  shuts down  to 180 and wont reset past 185 so mean meat  is cooking at a temp of maybe 150 in reality.  I thought I had done my homework in research even attending several national events to get view points on grills.  I am about wits end.  I am going to call  Lousiana grills in the morning and see about wshat they will do.  I am totally disappointed with there grills at this time.  Has anyone else encountered such problems with the Lousianagrills? .

I don't know anything about that grill. However I do feel your pain. Check your remote gauge in boiling water and in ice water. I bet it is the one that is correct. A lot of smoker have gauges that are way off. If you know the outside air temp look at the gauge and see if it is close.

I see this is your first post. When you get a chance will you drop by roll call so everyone can give you a proper SMF welcome?

Happy smoken.
