uds burnout questions

I have an unlined drum with paint inside what should i do? I dont have pallets i have firewood and big branches and some painted wood from a old dresser. Should i just spray it with rustoleoum bbq paint?

Burn it out with the firewood and branches. Then I wiped it out with mineral spirits.

I then wiped the inside with flaxseed oil and seasoned.

Do i need the mineral spirits ir can i use something else

That seems to take off what the burn out dont get.

Can i use some cheap alcohol instead and how should i.start the fire

That should work.

The burn out fire I used lighter fluid.

A wheel barrow full dry brush will provide as hot a fire as you can get without forced air.
