Hello new member here and I just got a new grill that has a u shaped sear and was wondering if I can upgrade it to an infrared sear. I have a Dyna-Glo grill currently.

Try giving Dyna-Glo a call with your model number and ask them if that burner can be swapped out for an infrared burner.
