Hey Everyone,

I am smoking two pork shoulders in a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker tomorrow to hopefully eat around 6-7. Question is what kind of cook time should I expect with that much meat, never done that much at once. I want to get the temp up to about 200-205 and I usually cook at 225-235. Any ideas or suggestions? Mainly looking for when I should throw it in.

Thanks!

Figure 2 hours per pound.

But you figure that on the largest piece of meat.

So your looking at approximately 16 hours.

The only difference between 1 butt or 2 will be the time it takes the smoker to come back up to temp when you put that much cold meat in it.

So maybe a half hour longer.

Al
