Have rain in forecast for Thursday. If I smoke cook turkey late Wednesday. Could I wrap it and hold it hot like a brisket?

Cook a day ahead, carve, and put in foil pans. Reheat the day of. Been doing it this way for years.

Add a little broth to the pans to keep everything moist for the reheat.

My opinion? No, the skin will be rubber and not sure the mass of the meat will be enough to keep it warm. But you know what they say about opinions

My thought is .. holding the bird whole for that long is gonna result in a dry bird, I could be wrong but, I like what DougE DougE ,said for this one. Carve & pan. Then you should be good to go.

I kind of knew this would be the answer. Guess I'll pull the EZ Up out for the grills and let the pellet run in the carport.
Plus SWSBO told me. We ain't serving no dry turkey so do it right or cook it in the oven! LoL

I tried that with a chicken a long time back.In a foil pan covered with heavy duty, carefully wrapped in towels and placed into the cooler with more towels. While it did stay quite warm the skin went to mush and a lot of the juices settled into the pan.It was ok but I never did it again.
