Making a turkey today. Figured with all the deals... why not!! Stuffed it with onions, apples, and fresh garlic. Got the masterbuilt electric smoker prepped with hickory chips. A light coat of olive oil and a small sprnkle of some Webber smoking rub... my go to rub. Injected with an apple juice mix and the Smoker set to 240. 14ish pound turkey about 9 hours should be good to go. Hoping for a good skin. More to come!

Lol hope they didn't fall asleep. Turkey makes me sleepy. Or is it the carbon monoxide poisoning from my oven?
Anyway, hope you saved the bones and stuff for soup.. 2 carcasses smashed up in a pot of water makes great stock.

Sorry for the delay my phone apparently wanted to take a dump on me the other day so I sadly do not have pictures. The bird reached the internal temp after about 6.5 hours. I was hoping for a little longer so next time I will drop the cooking temp another 10 degrees. It did come out phenomenal and juicy. I would have like the longer time for the skin, but the skin did come out with a somewhat decent crisp. It was a good 1st run. time to go pick up 3 or 4 more birds for the deep freeze. I used red delicious apples I only sliced them. next time I would probably dice them up smaller to fit more in. all in all id say a solid 7 out of 10... next time shoot for better but was very satisfied!

Glad to hear your bird came out so good. Just so it doesn't drive you crazy--it's almost impossible to get crispy skin in a MES. MES just doesn't get hot enough. That's not a oroblem for me but I know most oeople love the skin.
