I have read all about the supposed turkey shortage this year and, at least in my area, it isn't happening. I just got my turkeys for $0.39lb, with plenty of selection, at Publix. Food Lion also had plenty of turkey's for $0.33lb but you had to buy $35 in groceries to get that price. There wasn't any extra purchase requirement at Publix . The prices are also in line with last year. so everyone enjoy their Thanksgiving Turkey this year.

Yeah no shortage around here either but butterballs are about $0.99lb. I got a few of them a couple weeks ago just in case they got hard to find as the holidays neared. then my work handed out free smaller 10lb turkeys to all employees so my wife and I each got one and another employee gave us theirs so im currently sitting on 6 birds in the freezer...

No shortage so far out here, we'll see how the procrastinators fair in a few days.

I fell for the hype and grabbed a turkey early.....

I was stupid. Paid $1.36 per pound, at the commissary no less.

$0.79/lb Kroger brand here in UT... Butterballs are 1.49/lb and they have very few. our local store had about 10 last time i was in.

When I was doing my weekly grocery thing Wednesday at Meijer they had a mountain of turkeys LOL!
We don't want one so I didn't stop to look at prices.
I would say no "shortage"....

yeah...highly skeptical on the whole thing. the so called beef / meat shortage from last spring was a misrepresentation and US customer gouging. the frozen reserves were unchanged and exports to other countries were WAY up at the time we were all told there was a shortage.

$.99 at costco for a Butterball, Wife grabbed a 13.5 lb and in half an hour the only ones left were 20+ lb. Aldi sells out in minutes

Not seeing any shortages locally, but no great deals either...JJ
