This week I finished up a project for the deck. I converted a Ford truck bed into a bench. I had a few goals when I started this project. First, a place to store wood, second, a working surface for food prep, and finally, a place to sit.

So, I can store my wood under it.

I have a nice sized working area.

Even more when I drop the tail gate. However, I really like the tail gate up to help keep the dogs honest.

It also works as a bench.

My daughter has asked me to smoke up a few things for her graduation party from nursing school. So time for a cup of coffee to start a day of smoking. I’m feeling very blessed. Hope you are well!

That's awesome ! Cut down a camper shell and add a side fire box . Then you could smoke right in the bed . Lol .
That is really cool . Nice work .
Congrats to your Daughter .

I like it, and lots of room using the end gate when needed. What year, about a 1958? All you need is a vintage license plate and a lawn tractor battery to wire up the tail lights. :emoji_laughing:

Yes, it’s that ‘Fridge’ style Ford bed (57-60). I have a 59. Good ideas on finishing touches. Thanks.

chp Thanks for the like I appreciate it.

Always nice to see new useful ideas.

Very nice truck . Walking through a junk yard one day we came across a 1966 F 100 4WD . Straight 6 , granny low trans . My buddy traded the guy on the spot for the car we drove there in . Nice truck , but we needed a ride home .
It was the puke green with a white cab top . That thing went almost any where .
