Stopped by the grocery store today after work looking for chicken wings and drummets to make for the bears game! Found trip tip on sale and decided to go for it. With the help of a few people in chat (thank you fowldarr & flatbroke) I’ll post pics as it progresses. Was in a hurry to get everything done and didn’t get pics of prep. Pellet grill is going at 225 with the smoke setting on 10. I had some other issues with this grill originally which camp chef went out of their way to correct I might add. The new PID WiFi controller has worked flawlessly. And is pretty great IMO. But have only used it for 3 cooks now. So far so good. Going to pull the tri tip when IT is at 125-127 and then sear on the sear box when ripping hot. I’ll bump to the temp on the wings to crisp them up at the end. First tri tip hope it turns out.
