Cooked for a small family event yesterday. Tri tip and chicken was requested. I stopped at Costco and got a few packs of Tri tip. The chicken supplied by someone else and was in brine for 6 hrs then seasoned the morning of.

Loaded the truck up with some oak and bigger pieces. Couldn’t get access to the pit until 11 am and eat time was to be 3pm. Loaded the pit and busted out the weed burner.

Seasoned up the Tri tip with Carne Crosta while the fire burned down.

weather was nice and food cooked with plenty of time to spare. Let the tips rest for 30 minutes foiled in the pans. I didn’t slice the first couple but ended up slicing them after I took the picture

had 5 Tri tips left over whole and some sliced in a pan. Gave a couple away to family and will freeze a couple for later use. My golf clubs saved my arm hair

The pot on the grate in the aluminum pan is chili beans my mother made for the party. Heated them up on the grill

That tri tip would make a great breakfast samich with egg and cheese!

Bingo! Strong word Flatbroke. I’ve never seen anyone do that many Tri Tips at once. Plus chicken. You must have had your hands full working that big grill. You definitely have some skills seldom seen these days.
I look forward to seeing your breakfast thread and leftover thread in the near future.
