So I actually did reign in a bit on the nitrates and the nitrites, AFTER I made that last ham. I figured anything that good I should save for special occasions. But NOW they are saying I can't enjoy that smoke smell when smoking?

Do ya think this is the Chinese starting rumors to offset the trade sanctions by ruining eating for us?

Its like my old Pop used to always say," Everything in life that I enjoy is either illegal, immoral, fattening or causes cancer!"

I figure I'm OK.
Causes lung cancer? Well I had my first cigarette about 50 years ago and have been smoking 2 packs a day most if the time since then.
Clothing won't protect you? No problem. Mothers round up your children. I'll just BBQ naked. I know--not a pretty visual. LOL
GOTTA BE SOME kind of benefit to either China or WallyWorld in trying to put a halt to BBQ.

Well Im going to die anyways might as well be fat and happy sitting next to the smoker with a jack and coke in one hand and a cigar in the other :D

They will come out with another study next year that inhaling smoke from a smoker, will kill cancer cells!
I'm a firm believer in moderation is the key. The only problem I have with that is I can't seem to moderate my beer consumption, but I know this is hard to believe ,but I never drank until I retired & moved into this active retirement community, where Happy hour starts with breakfast! :) By the way I retired when I was 59 & have been living & drinking here for 13 years! Still pretty healthy, so I figure I have a few more years before my liver & kidneys revolt!

I always laugh. We are dealing with the California Prop 65 laws. An extensive and ever expanding list of items and chemicals that MAY be known to cause cancer and must be labeled as such.
I was told by an Attorney that on the “bad list” are drugs which are actually used to cure cancer! Getting crazy out there folks! B

But your body is only acting as a heat exchanger and nothing else. You are consuming cold fermented beverages and after heating them back up to slightly over ambient temperature discharging them back to nature. Hugging nekkid women is only a biological need for body heat replacement. If you attempt to convert an excessive amount your radiator's Delta T needs time to come back to core temperature. Its why youre slow the next morning!
