Top Shot, since we are throwing around ideas, What if you had an enclosed trailer where the side opened up and your smoker slid out and down ? hydraulic, electric ?  The part that opened up could be a canopy.

Make your tank look like a large bomb with fins or a bullet / rifle round.

Or you make the whole rig look like a tank / armoured vehicle. Put a gun turret up top have it movable. Gun barrel straight with trailer for transport. Swing it perpendicular and use it as support for your canopy.

I like the tank idea. How about the smoke exiting the barrel?
Even if you don't use the barrel to help support the canopy, you could drap the camo mesh stuff they use to cover large areas over your tent.

To bad you don't live closer. There is an Army Surplus store that has a mini tank for sale. Would be an interesting starting point to convert into it into a smoker......

We'll, your wanting to show off the smokers, not the trailer, right?
Well kinda both RW, because we build our trailers custom to the smoker
I agree with Ribwizard, work from the ground and make sure it is a workable height. When it comes to construction Ribwizard is the man, I look at it from a catering Chef view. I personally like a RF smoker with at least a 40" diameter. With proper tuning you can have multiple temp cooking zones and 3 shelves.

Color wise I would do the camo/military theme. I have seen some paracord that has fall colors digital camo and it looked very nice. I think it was black/red/grey/white, I will see if I can find it and post a picture of it.

Just my $0.02

I would put all of my work station stuff on one side of the trailer and the storage on the opposite side. This way you can position the trailer where people see the cooker and you. Then all the storage and usual mess is on the back side away from sight.. I know most comps have power, but it is also a good thing to have backup.

Grey and potable water tanks along with a 12 volt water pump. They have some that are pressure switched that whenever you open a faucet or hose sprayer it turns the pump on. Also hot water for your hand sink and dish washing. There are instant hot water heaters that run on propane.

Work tables and tent. I would use folding tables with PVC pipe to raise the table to the workable height, maybe 3 or more to start with. A tent with logo, something like a 20'x20' with removable sides. With this size you can cover the smoker in bad weather and still have room to work.

I would go with LED lights. They draw less power and seem to be more durable, they are also much easier to run off of 12v power. You can also get solar charging panels to keep the batteries topped off.

Just a few thoughts.

Edit:
Sorry the colors are black/grey/red/brownish red

I know links are bad, but not able to post the picture from an iPad......
I believe the 110gallon tank I have is 36'' Diameter that would be a cool little RF, couple of other guys have made mention of making it look like a Bomb with fins. I love that concept. Probably going to run a small insulated smoker also.

I have a buddy that owns High Beam Lighting and all they deal with is12v  LED lighting for vehicles. Running a 12v solar panel for the batteries is great!! have not even thought about that. What you think of using a red undercarriage light for the trailer. That would look cool I think. and the instant hot water is a must!! defiantly using that idea.

I was thinking of doing a collapsible roof type system over using several tents and keep the tents down to one with our logo.

I saw a big goose neck Travel trailer at one of the BBQ cook-off's had living quarters up front  and the back opened  up they rolled out (using some kind of assist (electric, Hydraulic ? not sure a Jambo Pit and the back part of the trailer that opened up was used as a cover along with a tent, looked pretty cool, sat up quick.

I too like the bomb idea.msomeone mad mention to the MOAB and calling it Mother Of All BBQ........ If you could turn theinsulated smoker into looking like the control panel that would cool too.

Red under carriage lights are a must IMO!! As for the cover really anything works. I would just make sure you can put sides on it to protect from sun, wind and other weather issues.

Can't wait to see what you come up with.....this will be very cool.

MERRY CHRISTMAS  TS, from GARY in EAST TEXAS

What if you incorporated a "peep hole" for viewing, but had your peep hole look like a scope...with the crosshairs like your logo. Might need some thinking to make it look real cool, but would be a great way to use your logo with your smoker. Just a thought.

I've also seen one that looked like a giant pistol on a trailer. Expensive...but definitely an eye catcher!!

This is still a go now that we are through the holidays, hopefully we can start pretty soon. as a side note we are dropping our sponsorship with SMF. For us it does not seem to be beneficial to drive sales for us. But we still are happy to answer questions and help out where we can.

Any updates on this build??

Yes we are currently building off and on between customer builds, the problem with that is we have had 13 builds sense the first of the year..lol. I'll get some pics up soon. We are going with an military / black ops kind of thyme. The little bomber tank will resemble drop ordinance with tail fins and all! But we gotta get moving our first BBQ contest of the year is in April. We will also be stashing our shop smoker on the trailer also, we cook several times a week and one of my employees also a friend and cooking partner has Brisket dialed in on it.
