Tips for Civil Service exam?

I will be driving down to erie, PA to pick up an application to be a paid firefighter and will have to take a civil service exam eventually. Any tips on it? Im sure it may be a little different state to state but any help is much appreciated.

Back  when I tested, you could go to the library and check out a book on how to take the test. It was great help. Now days I would think a quick google search would give you what you are looking for. Good Luck on the test...Best job out there.
