great looking tacos John, I don't think I ever had a taco that wasn't made with ground meat. going to have to give them a try someday.

Thanks Jim! I was the same way until recently. Seeing all these good taco threads on here got me to branch out. These tacos are 10x better than ground beef and store bought taco seasoning. Give it a try!

Those look amazing. Can I ask what you're marinating sauce consisted of?

Yeah of course!

1 cup oil(I used vegetable because that's what I had on hand)
8 tablespoons lime juice
1 1/2 TBS onion powder
4 cloves minced garlic
3 1/2 TBS ground cumin
1 TSP pink sea salt
4 TSP chili powder
4 TSP chipotle chili powder
2 TSP ground black pepper
Red pepper flakes to taste.

You can adjust the stuff as you like. Makes enough to cover all of this stuff. I would have done it in large Ziploc bags but I was out. Also if you don't like the lime acidity you can lower that down as well.

Cool. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with others, its impossible to post to many taco and Mexican food posts!! Man love the char on the chicken and the steak looks right on the money to me. Hit it with some home made sauce and heck yea!! Love it.
