Nice spread. I sure wish we could get goat meat around here that didn't cost an arm and a leg.
Down on the coast in the asian markets its cheap but up here where no one eats it it can't be found.

am curious to the goat
've never eaten goat,is that similar as sheep?[/quote]

Not really, goat is much leaner and not as meaty. You can tell by the picture of the half in the smoker even the hind leg is thin. The taste is unique, like lamb or mutton, but has a "gamier" flavour than mutton. I think mutton's taste is stronger than goat. If you like lamb, mutton or venison, you are going to love goat.

Wow, very nice job and love the fajitas! We'll be doing up some fajitas today, but just regular old beef - now I wish I had a goat to throw in there. Might have to start looking for it.

Great Q John, and that burrito just took me off the edge. Congrats on a tasty meal.

Everything looks great John. I have never tried goat, but if it tasted half as good as it looks, it is over the moon! Chickens looked fantastic too...

Talk about over the moon~ this supper was so good, I dreamt about eating it again last night, but with chopped fresh jalapenos instead of "rajas". Seriously.

So, after dropping off the birds and pig to my co-worker's home, I hit the grocery store for some jalapenos~ I was starving!

Goat, beans, tortillas went back into the oven to re-heat (everything's better the next day) and I chopped up the jalapenos.

While the stuff was heating up I made a couple quesadillas too, with Oaxaca and Pepper Jack mixed in for melty goodness. Great stuff! A couple friends dropped by to say hi too....

On the left Yum K'aax (the god of corn, or in this case, of jalapenos
biggrin.gif
) In the middle Chac Mool (the god of war and sacrifice) and on the right....well, he was dragged along by the other two and I still have no idea who he is!

Stopped just long enough to take another pic before the plate disappeared~

rivet....everything looks great! goat is big here in the latin community.
