Those that had cracked guard on Weston slicers

How long did it take for you to receive your replacement for the cracked or broken plastic guards?
I called them a couple of weeks ago and they said they would send a replacement right out. I still have not recieved it. I am just wondering if anyone else has had to wait this long.

It's funny you should bring this up. I called yesterday to see if they had shipped my replacement yet, because it has been a couple of weeks since I had called. I talked to Ryan in customer service and he said they had got the request but it took about a week to process it, and that it shipped a few days ago. He said it should be here this week. I would say about two weeks is about right. If you have any questions call them at customer service and ask, they seem to be very friendly. 1-800-814-4895

Heh... long pork! Really...it's not like your body parts can easily even BE there during use...but every time they foolproof something POOF...along come a better fool.

As of today I am still waiting for replacement plastic food tray. I called yesterday and was told it would be sent next week now.

I also called yesterday. I was told they had a replacement for my broken finger guard that is used when sharpening the blade. As for the cracked hand guard she told me they were out of stock and were on back order. They are supposed to send the finger guard right away and the hand guard when they are back in stock. She was very apologetic for the delay. Seems like a good company to work with. Now if they follow through with what they said they are going to do.

I am still waiting for mine to come. but I also agree with Richtee, I did not like it there anyway.

I may or may not use it, but I still would like one that isn't cracked. The company has been very responsive up to this point. I believe she told my kid yesterday when she called that they were out of stock. Guess we wait a little longer Foozer...

I received both parts on Saturday. I was only expecting the finger guard since the shields were on back order.
I used this slicer last week on a brisket and set it to cut as thin as possible. This thing works great. A big thank you to whoever brought this great deal to the attention of the forum.

Still waiting on my plastic food tray. I still plan to use it tonite to slice some pastrami..Will see how that goes...
