There will be smoked meatloaf but it's on a 7 hour delay

So I was prepared to throw 6 lbs of meatloaf on the smoker tonight. I just finished whipping everything up. I went out and cleaned out the ashes from the last smoke. I went back into the garage to get the charcoal...and after a frantic search, I came to the realization I ran out and forgot to put it on my list.



The grocery store closes in 8 minutes and I'm 25 miles away. So a 5:35 am run to the store is in order to grab a bag to get this going and done before I head to the Broncos game tomorrow.

Had I not procrastinated all day, I could have made this run earlier. Shame on me. Sigh.

I went back to the garage and took a second look and I lucked out. I had a charcoal bin on top of the shelf in the garage that I forgot about and it had just enough in it to get the done. Basket of coals are lit. About to roll smoke! Whew!
