Thanks Jim! I didn’t realize you hadn’t seen the build before now……now you can see why I am salivating over your build. You will be able to cook more than you even thought was possible!

I’ve missed cooking on it but that is gonna change this summer!!!

I’ve even thought up of a few more cooking methods that I’m going to integrate as well!

I don't have any room to talk I have a 120 tank I don't weld so son and grandson are doing the work. They have been 1 year since I was last to get them working on it. Geez

Sometimes you just need to age a project to make sure it’s properly “seasoned”. lol!

I would be using it but need a place to put it…..the driveway is too steep to roll it out…..but it will burn again….soon!!!

I was beginning to believe this day wouldn't come; however, paint day is FINALLY here!!!!!

With the new home of the X-Fire completed (https://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t...ome-of-the-x-fire-gill-and-copper-pot.333051/), I had motivation to spend most the day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the shop welding, grinding, welding some more, grinding some more and then running the surface conditioner wheel over the whole surface along with a wire wheel for hard to get places.....

I had a meeting get canceled so it freed up some “play” time so I put on my painters hat!

Burned up a full qt and two spray cans of high temp bbq paint!!!

Man oh man lots of surface area as well as nooks and crannies!

Went to dinner and did some shopping and it was tacked up enough to put the Tel-Tru in as well as the handles. The smoke stack is behind it and sleeves in the top opening. I had to make it removable so it would fit out the door!

Holy smoking crap I’m sooooooooooo happppppyyyyy!

Gonna give it a full day to cure then it will move into its new home!!!!! Don’t want any fingers prints in the new paint from pushing it…..

Later chores will be fabing up the stainless round rod grates and the smoking plates, but those are just added function as the v-grates are full function now!!!
