So much has been posted on pulled ham and I've posted my version already so this isnt a show and tell but simply another thank you to
jcam222
for turning me on to this amazing idea and a reminder that hams will be on sale for thanksgiving and then easter and I urge all of you to pick up as many as you can to make these. If you only buy and make one, I guarantee you will curse yourself for not buying more while on sale. It goes fast and freezes so damn well in its juice that you just can't make too many.
I just made another for a party to welcome my daughter's boyfriend home from deployment and a couple ideas I thought I'd share.
1st, Wrapping over a pan with ham base and the juice from the cryovac is a MUST. That juice is like the nector of the BBQ Gods.
2nd, My daughter made white mac n cheese with fontina, gruyere and sharp white cheddar. Luckily she made a ton of extra sauce as she likes extra when reheating leftovers. Well, I gotta say, there were no leftovers and no sauce left as people found out that dipping the ham into that cheese sauce was a damn FonduPalooza. Crazy Good. Like peanut butter and chocolate good. Lennon and McCartney good. Maybe better, lol.
3rd, Also, the last of the leftovers that were bagged in the juice I mixed with some great northern beans, onions and thyme for a quick, easy, very comforting meal. Highly recommend both. Sorry no pics. And, thanks again to @jcamm222 for my pulled ham obsession.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
