Hey all.  I've been lurking on SMF for a little while.  I have gotten some great info so far.  Just got a Masterbuilt 40 at Sam's today, so I figured it's time to join the forum.

UGH from the TROJAN nation.  Welcome to the forum.  Your hobby has just intensified & we are here to help it mature.  Get yourself a nice digital camera & be ready to expand your knowledge of all manner of dead flesh.  When you family gives you crazy looks, allow them the privilege to taste your fine morsels & they will be convinced & might even help with the picture taking.   Enjoy your stay Jim.

^^I do have a nice digital camera.  Photography is another addiction of mine, as well as homebrewing (you can't have smoked meat without beer).

Welcome to the SMF. Glad to have you here. Lots of good folks, great recipes and knowledge. Looking forward to your first qview. :)

OK.  Today was the first smoke.  My band was at our studio practicing, and since we were going to be there for six or seven hours.....  We seasoned the smoker for about three hours then threw in some fresh sausages from a local butcher.  The smoker worked flawlessly.  I love the remote.  After three hours we had a great sausage feast!  I have the day off tomorrow, so I'm thinkin' RIBS.
