Earlier I had noted how nice it was the cold weather had missed us... Well, it got here...
I guess my MES30 will need heat to get started...
We are not as cold as Frostbite Falls but still, it's colder than a witches U-Know-What...
You folks with -50 wind chill, I feel for you...

We've had crazy temp swings here. -14 to +60 over two days.

In Wyoming they say the snow never melts.
It just wears out from blowing back and forth.

Freeze dried is a part of life there.
I always referred to the arctic jet stream drop as, "Here comes the Witches T_ _!"
That was when the Sub-Zero happened hard. And when it got back up to Zero, it was T-shirt weather. Literally.

We've been getting wave after wave of rain storms.
I asked the wife when is it supposed to clear up?
Not yet. More storms due by Saturday.
I said, "So much for the Drought!"
She said, "No, we're still in a drought."

I didn't know you could get drowned or washed away in a drought. :emoji_fearful:

Same here in Ohio , -10 for a few days and 58F yesterday. I was in Chicago last week. -20F, -50F wind chill. It was so cold I drove through Chicago on 90/94 all the way to the airport with ZERO traffic delay LOL. If you have driven Chicago ever you know how amazing that is.

I bet most of them couldn't start their cars.
Something that amazed me in Wyoming was the people who couldn't drive or maneuver in the cold weather. And most were natives. Never could understand that.
Glad you commute was good!

I feel for you Dave. It's been that cold here for a week (-35 to -45F), and not expected to improve until Monday. Right now its -42 at the motel I'm staying at in Barrhead, Ab. That's too cold to haul logs so I'm going home for a few days. Had my pickup plugged in last night, but apparently something tripped the breaker. I'm amazed my GMC gasser started--took some work and a touch of ether though. LOL Letting it warm up for 1/2 an hour before I leave.

I can’t imagine -50. We had 3 inches of snow on the ground a week ago. It’s 70 today. Anyone who knows East Tennessee weather...not so out of the normal

One more reason i live in Oklahoma. Born in Alaska, lived there till i was five, grew up in northern Indiana, lived in Dayton,Ohio for six and a half years and moved a lot while stationed in the Army.

I do not miss the cold or the snow!!!

We have had a few cold spells down here in FL, but overall it's been a pretty warm winter.
I sure feel for you guys!

I feel for you Al, not having a real winter.... I know it's painful to not be able to play in the snow...
In your super cool auto..... HAHAHAHAHA....

Its cold down this way but nothing like what you've got up north. Our lows are just about what your high temps are. They were predicting a warm wet winter in the NW but I suppose we have to get a little bit of this.
