The legendary Big Texan Steakhouse in Amarillo, TX lives up to the hype. I've also been told it's not even the best steakhouse in Amarillo in terms of taste for steaks.
I had a boneless 12 oz ribeye, baked potato, mac n cheese, cheesy broccoli and qn order of giant fried mushrooms.
The steak was oh so tender, juicy and cooked to perfection (medium) and was wonderfully seasoned. The sides were all pipin' hot and delicious. Their dinner rolls are addictive.
If you're up for the challenge, order the 72 oz steak, eat it, your two sides and all the trimmings in under an hour and your meal is on the house.
Dad and I paid a trip to Cadillac Ranch prior to eating, which is just down the road.
