The XD is as reliable as it gets. Right up there with Glock. Either Century or Intrac started importing them in the 90s as the HS2000. At some point Springfield picked them up as the XD.

That's right, originally Croatian goodness.
Now produced in the US under license.

I don't have an EDC...then again this is NY and I would lose about 4 years of my life trying to get a permit for one.

.40 is my favorite round. This is my recliner pistol. And I love using talon grips on Glocks especially. Obviously adds a nice grip but also dresses them up a bit.
just sAw how old this thread is: here's all i got. never leave home without it. various mags and loads

In Tennessee you can conceal or open carry. No permit required
Same in VT.

I don't own a gun, and I'm sure glad I live in an area that I don't feel the need to carry one. We may not have access to Dukes mayonnaise, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

If one had a larceny in mind, it would be advisable to check the back yard patio for a smoker first. Smoker outside = smoke from owner. You folks got some purdy hog legs.

I lost ALL of mine years ago in a yard sale............

The most comfortable way I have found to carry. The holster is a DeSantis CrisCross on a Kirkpatrick suede lined belt. If you spend much time setting or driving this is the way to go. Any cover shirt untucked works fine. Also, it rides low enough that you don't sweep your left arm on the draw. Oh, it's a Glock 43.

Another way I like if I will be standing and/or walking is pocket carry, right front.
Glock 42 in an Alabama holster.

Keep them coming guys. I'm having fun with this thread.

I know a few people that compete.
Did you catch the reload?

JK! They carry 2 revolvers.

This is the SASS club I belong to.
Only a few locations around the country have Mounted Cowboy Action shoots. You have to be rather well healed to participate in that sport.

I'm partial to cowboy guns, though I own some modern ones as well.
My Cimarron Pistolero .357 magnum. I bought this one in early 2020, thinking ammo would be cheaper and more available than the .45 Long Colt. Then Covid hit. :emoji_tired_face:

I own 4 Ruger Wranglers. This one is my favorite.

And these, I'm passing on to the two grandsons when they get old enough. (Their father is "anti-gun". :emoji_rolling_eyes: Though when my daughter was a kid, she was a crack-shot with my Winchester Model 62A .22 rifle.)

Just got this 2001 Henry Golden Boy .22, octagon barrel in a auction last summer. After the taxes & fees, I could have gotten a new one for almost the same price. But it's a beauty, and doesn't look like it's ever been fired. I own a 1935 Winchester model 94 .30-30, but the lever action doesn't come close to the Henry. Smooth as butter.

A couple of my carry guns. Have a few others, and I tend to rotate them, depending on what I'm wearing, or where (or what part of town) I'm going.

Love your taste in guns. Shoot the heck out of those Rugers (or any gun if you are going to carry it).
