The members here have influenced me in so many ways since joining. I follow suggestions and see the success resulting in all of the great experiences shared in this forum. Funny thing is...I'm not talking about smoking meat right now. I just had my right hip replaced after 20 years of pain because of the members here sharing their experiences. Thank you Al, Bear, Ray, Lemans and anyone else that shared their stories! My surgery was Thursday morning and went home Friday afternoon. I was walking with a walker and having PT on the same day of the surgery, they gave me an epidural before surgery and I was wide awake in recovery. I had two more PT treatments before being discharged on Friday. I was taking 2 Percocets every 4 hrs, but switched to 1 for the last 3 doses. I've got a good deal of swelling, but not too much pain. I can already move my leg in ways I haven't done in 20 years!
I took 2 weeks off of work, and I've got a chicken, brisket, and a butt to smoke in my recovery! I have out patient PT starting monday morning, and then plan to get my smoke on. Happy Smoking!
