In this day and age, it was a breath of fresh air to deal with a company that goes out of their way to provide true customer service. Several months ago I purchased a Chef Alarm meat thermometer from ThermoWorks. I really like it and it is very accurate. Over the past few months I have used it many many times and it never disappoints. Yesterday I smoked another Boston Butt and some rib tips that I had saved up. Put the probe in the Boston Butt about 2 hours into the cook as I always wrap at about 160 to 165 degrees. Set my high temp and grabbed a cold one. 5 minutes later the alarm went off. No way I thought. Looked and I had 3 L's running across the screen and it showed the temp was -47 degrees? Tinkered with it a bit. Re inserted the probe and same issue. Changed out batteries and no change. No problem, I just used a cheapo thermometer I had for this smoke. Came in and called ThermoWorks expecting the run around. Boy was I WRONG! The receptionist transferred me to tech support. I explained my situation and what I had done to troubleshoot. He stated the probe has gone bad and they will ship me out another probe at no charge. WOW! Doesn't get any better than that. Just wanted to give them a shout out. Probably going to buy some other items from them. Take care fellow smokers!
