Picked up a Brinkman Trailmaster Vertical Smoker (NO Firebox)
Cooked a Pork roast today and Could not keep 250 Deg in the smoker, also seemed to me that the Charcoal Did not last that long       (3 hrs) got the meat to about 145 and it seemed I lost heat. 5 hrs in Dumped the pan filled with new and dumped a Chimney of hot coals on top.

Started with both vent full open, got to 270 or so closed them halfway. Temp did a nose dive. would come up to about 220 and level off

pulled the roast after 6 hrs and wrapped it and its in the oven on 350

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide
