if you have one of the temp controllers so that you can go to sleep during a long smoke how do you get notified of a problem? do any of them have an audible alarm or text message so that it can wake you if there is an issue?

Maverick wireless Thermometers have an alarm when the grill temp or meat temp gets to high or low... Just put the Receiver on your nightstand

i was hoping to get one unit to do everything but it may be easiest and best for my needs to just buy a BBQ guru nanoQ and just run a MAv et-732.

that will give me the blower control and the alarms that i want.

cause i know i wont sleep well without knowing there is control and something to say "HEY CHECK ON ME" if need be....

well looked into it more and found that to do the nano Q with blower and a Maverick 732 would cost $270 plus shipping. looking deeper the Cyber Q has email notification and would cost $390 but gives me more freedom and 2 more meat probes. so now i am thinking the cheaper version may not be the best solution. the Cyber Q might be a better buy. now i just have to figure out how to get a super loud alert for my email on my phone.

Your wanting email in case your not home ??
The 732 goes 300 feet plus you can use it for other things,
I have 5 cookers
I just don't think it's worth the extra $$

so you think the nanoQ with blower and a maverick? it sure seems easier but then you only get one food probe.

all i really care about is being LOUDLY notified if there is a problem during the overnight portion of a long smoke and that the temp regulates itself while i sleep. that is my goal in a nutshell.
