More like OSBC... (old small block Chevy).... the smoke is coming from a AMNPS in the mailbox. Burning Bear Mountain Pecan pellets, some of the ones I have been struggling with. The vent is wide open on the MSE40,the temperature is set at 100*.

That looks aweful thick to me.
Will choking back some of the air make it worse or better? My thinking is it will make it more thick...less air=more smoldering=more smoke?

What happens when you turn your MES onto 100°?

Does the smoke settle down?

Cold temps outside produce a denser smoke

I crack my door during cold smoking

Sawdust can also be used and it will produce less smoke

it was at 100...I varied the temperature to see if the smoke would change.

Drilled a second hole towards the top of the mailbox door and 3 holes towards the bottom. All holes are .250". The box also has several holes in the bottom. Cut back on the smoke dramatically. Box has several holes in the bottom as well. Did notice today that the seam on the bottom of the box in the rear has a large gap in it. The AMNPS sits in front of this gap, can't help but wonder if this gap is causing any sort of a problem. Next chance I get I am going to try to seal this gap. If nothing changes I may enlarge the holes, one at a time, on the bottom of the door.
