Gotta give that a try, makes sense loosening up fat with heat. Always something new to learn.The late great Dave Omak gave a great tip that I use, run warm water over the membrane and it pulls right off. I just use my fingers. It don't take much warm water, basically just a rinse.

If I’m cooking them at a higher temp it works because it will get nice and crispy. If you’re doing 225 then I prefer to peel it off.You should just try and score it and leave it on. That’s what I’ve been doing
