got sereral pieces of apple, hickory, oak & plum that need to be cut to size. since i'm a watt burner they need to be small and fit in a charcoal pan.
so i started digging thru the bone pile that mama wants me to clean up and look at this. an old powerpak i built years ago for a press a hunk of H beam and some misc hydraulic parts. this has just enough tonnage and a 14" ram.
works great for the little stuff. save me haven to buy chips cept for cherry havent found any of that yet.
took bout a month to build in spare time.

Really nice, sure would love to borrow that sometime.
Beats my method any day, and axe, some sweat and then a sawzall to get them to appropriate size once seasoned.

With all those hoses it looks like something Michael Jackson would have slept in.

oh yea thats the way i used to do it hammer & chisel and band saw
