Threw a tape on the tank taday, she measures bout 48 inchs long and right at 27 inchs across. Should make a decent size smoker.

Ken, was told originally was used as a liquid storage tank, then some 25 plus years ago was converted to an air tank. Feller said hadn't been nothin hazourdos in it. Figuer a good scrubbin and power washin then a nice hot oak fire outer take care of it. Thin weights a ton!

Well we got the tank off the truck this mornin, walnut tree branch held! Sure do like that lectric hoist, made that job lot easier! She'sa sittin on a pallet, gonna start some lay out work on er next weekend, maybe get the doors cut and such. Gotta find me a trailer ta mount it on er build one.

Thats gonna make a great rig-and keep u outta the wifes hair for a while.keep us posted-we know u will Tip.

Did you see my link posted? I am thinking that the smoker in the link is the same tank you have there! Was it propane?

Great lookin tank there Trav. Looks like ya got yer work cut out for ya so to speak. Can't wait to see yer progress on the new endevor.

Steve, this tank was originally fer spraying, then spent 20 plus years doin service as an air tank. New life bein a smoker! My guess would be thatn this company built tanks fer darn near any purpose.

nice find bead blast inside if ya can then oil it and fire it keep us posted i like these kind of projects
