Picked up a 6lb half of shoulder at Safeway at $2.29lb, partial bone-in

Was hanging with the boys Saturday night and missed the rub until I woke up late at 9am('dem boys are bad influences)

Rub: yellow mustard followed by Costco sweet mesquite rub and then extra fresh ground black pepper and Tony's Cajun seasoning

Injected with beef bullion, pickle juice and bourbon 3:2:1 ratio

Cooked with: Smoke Hollow 30" propane vertical cabinet, used hickory chips at 225° - it hit 160° at 7.5 hours and I crutched it with foil and some of that bullion mix.  At 9.5 hours it was 203° and I put it in a cooler to rest.

30 minutes of rest and served with wild rice and green beans in an attempt to convince my wife this was healthy :D

Sure got some nice bark on that PP!
