Hey Jeff sorry for the late response. Thank you for the kind words! Got a 17" lodge cast iron pan and a fry cutter so I am a happy camper!
That’s funny , I got that exact same pan for Christmas!! Over the past year I’ve really grown to love cast iron over some of my fancy high end non stick.

Stupid question but when u put em in foil u put em back in smoker right?

Not a stupid question. I suppose you could put them in the oven since you aren't getting any smoke penetration while they are in the foil but I put them in the foil back on the smoker and then after the foiling time is over I put the racks back on the smoker to firm up and add some sauce. You going to be doing some soon?

Trying to gauge meals but yes thinking of doing some beef or pork ribs in the new MB Gravity. Sounds like a great idea for one of the 1st cooks in it. I loveeeee ribs....Was gonna do meatloaf but the ingredients = 40 bucks.. I can get a nice rib eye for 40 bones LOL. Gonna buy a couple items at a time over a couple weeks then do the loaf I think. Will be cooking for 2 so...

Those are fine looking ribs. I’m curious about the fry cutter. Can you show that a bit more? Not sure I’ve ever run across one of those before. What is the brand name?

G

Hey sorry when I get home I can take more pics of it but my wife got it off of amazon. I think they range anywhere from $20-$100. It says food slicer/chopper on the box...sorry not sure of the brand name either. Works great though and I swear I will never buy a bag of frozen fries again!

I hear ya it can get kind pricey when you start adding up all the ingredients to make one thing! I check the manager specials in the meat section and freeze a lot of times or find items on sale. I have about 5 pork butts frozen I got for $.99 a lb or less.

You will get better deals on pork ribs than beef. You can get a 10 lb bag of chicken quarters for cheap as hell. Grab some cold beer and fire up the smoker this weekend!
